China Southern Power Grid Issues Unified RFID "ID Cards" for Assets

China Southern Power Grid has launched a major initiative to issue unified RFID-based electronic "ID cards" for all asset-level equipment across its service territory. This deployment enables automated tracking, real-time inventory management, and intelligent maintenance scheduling for millions of power grid assets. The RFID system integrates with the existing asset management platform to provide complete lifecycle visibility from installation through maintenance to decommissioning.
