Shenzhen Pilots Elevator "Black Box" — 100,000 Elevators Get Smart Labels

Shenzhen has launched a pioneering city-wide elevator "black box" monitoring pilot program. Under this initiative, 100,000 elevators will receive new smart identification labels and IoT-based monitoring systems. The technology continuously tracks elevator operational parameters in real-time, automatically detects anomalies, and enables rapid emergency response in case of malfunction or entrapment. This represents one of the largest urban elevator IoT deployments in the world.
